Welcome to Warrington Borough Council's Online Licensing Register.
The register is dedicated to providing real time information in relation to applications and licences dealt with by the Council's Licensing Team.
The Licensing Team currently deal with applications & licences under the following Acts & Regulations:
-Licensing Act 2003
-Gambling Act 2005
-Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013
-Street Trading & Sexual Establishments (Sex Shops. Sex Cinemas & Sexual Entertainment Venues) under the Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1982
-Pavement Cafe Licensing under the Highways Act 1980
-Charitable Street Collections under the Police, Factories etc. (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1916
-Charitable House to House collections under the House to House Collection Act 1939 & the House to House Collection Regulations 1947
-Taxi Licensing under the Local Government Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1976 & the Town and Police Clauses Act 1847
The Council is responsible for issuing many types of licence. As the Licensing Team is not responsible for licences other than those identified above, this online system will not provide any information on alternative licence types. Up to date Licensing information can be accessed at any time and place. This allows users to access information at a time that is convenient to them, which may be late at night or over weekends and not necessarily during normal office hours.
ONLINE APPLICATIONS: Unfortunatley this online system is not yet designed to allow the submission of a Licensing Application to the Council via the Internet. Please click on the following link where you can apply to the Council for a Licence http://www.gov.uk/browse/business/licences/
Access to the statutory public registers can be achieved by clicking on the link shown on the left hand side of the screen and does not require you to login. If you wish to see a licence in more detail or check on the status of an open application you will need to create an online account in order to be given further access. Please note that due to Data Protection regulations, there may be some information that this service is unable to provide you.
