THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER
CCTV
CCTV cameras shall monitor both the interior and exterior of the premises.
Refusals register
Records of all customer refusals shall be maintained in hard backed registers and all the information shall be maintained for a period of one year.
Till system
Product activated audio till system shall be in place to record voices during alcohol and cigarettes transactions.
Sale of spirits
The sale of spirits shall be by counter service.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE
Notices
Quiet notices shall be displayed at the exit to remind customers to respect local residents.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM
'Challenge 25'
A 'Challenge 25' policy shall be operated at the premises at all times. The only acceptable forms of ID shall be a valid passport, photographic driving licence, H.M. Forces ID card, or a PASS approved proof of age card. No other form of identification shall be accepted. Publicity materials notifying customers of the operation of the 'challenge 25' scheme shall be displayed at the premises.
The Premises Licence Holder or DPS shall operate and maintain an up-to-date Register of Refusals of Sale of Alcohol (electronic or written), indicating the product, date, time, and reason for the refusal which shall be made available for inspection by Trading standards. Local Authority Officers and Police.
A documented training scheme shall be introduced for all staff in a position to sell alcohol. The contents of that scheme shall be made available for inspection at the request of Trading Standards, Local Authority Licensing Officers and Police.
The Premises Licence Holder or DPS shall conduct quarterly reviews with each person authorised to sell alcohol to reinforce the training and to promote best practice. A written record shall be made of the content of such reviews.
