ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSITENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER
CCTV
The CCTV system shall comply with the Cheshire Constabulary CCTV OR document (attached) and the images shall be made available on request to the police for crime prevention and detection purposes.
Sufficient staff shall be trained to be able to provide suitable downloaded images on request of a Police Officer for the purposes of crime prevention and detection.
Digital Recording CCTV systems record images onto a computer hard-drive.
If such a system is installed it must incorporate a means of transferring images from the hard-drive to a format that can be used as evidence in Court. This can be achieved by transferring images to a Compact Recordable Disk or Digital Versatile Disk (CD-R or DVD-R) CD-r and DVD-r are often referred to as a WORM medium (Write Once Read Many).
The software required for viewing proprietary recorded formats must also be made available to the investigating officer, together with the recorded images can be replayed on a standard windows operating system. It is therefore advisable that any software required is automatically copied onto the WORM recording to enable the correct viewing of the file.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM
'Challenge 21'
Any person not looking the age of 21 must prove that they as a minimum are in fact over the age of 18 to purchase alcohol. Acceptable forms of identification concerning the issue of age are a Ten Year Passport or photocard Driving Licence. All staff shall be trained to familiarise themselves with these requirements. The Company will operate a due diligence policy, incorporating this minimum 'Challenge 21' policy, also incorporating full training for all staff, the operation of a refusal book and refresher training on a regular basis.
There shall be prominent signage located throughout the store confirming the legal minimum age for the purchase of alcohol and other age restricted products and the company policy.
