• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

   

  1.  No supply of alcohol may be made under the Premises Licence:

   

  ()       at a time when there is no designated Premises Supervisor in respect of the Premises Licence, or

  ()       at a time when the designated Premises Supervisor does not hold a Personal Licence or his Personal Licence is suspended.

   

  Every supply of alcohol under the Premises Licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a Personal Licence.

   

  2.  The premises licence holder or club premises certificate holder shall ensure that an age verification policy applies to the premises in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol.

   

  The policy must require individuals who appear to the responsible person to be under 18 years of age (or such older age as may be specified in the policy) to produce on request, before being served alcohol, identification bearing their photograph, date of birth and a holographic mark.

  THE PREVENTION OF CRIME & DISORDER

   

  CCTV

  The premises shall have a digital CCTV system that covers many areas of the shop floor, including the proposed area which will be used for beer and wine.  Images shall be retained for a minimum of 21 days and made available on enforcement request.

   

   

  THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM

   

  Challenge 25

  All staff shall be trained and regularly refreshed on our corporate Challenge 25 policy. Staff will be trained to look at the customer and if they believe that the customer is under 25, ID should be requested.

   

  The only acceptable forms of ID will be a Photo Driving Licence, valid Passport, National ID Cards and ID cards that carry the PASS logo.

   

  Training Records

  All training records relating to alcohol will be made available for inspection at the reasonable request of Trading Standards, Local Authority Licensing Officers and the Police.

   

  Point of Sale

  Point of sale material notifying customers and staff of the Challenge 25 policy shall be displayed in prominent positions within the store.

   

  On each transaction of alcohol a prompt will appear on the tills to remind staff of the laws relating to selling alcohol.
