ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME & DISORDER
Door Supervisors
Where any Door Supervisors are used at the premises they shall be registered with the Security Industry Authority.
Drugs Policy
The Premises Licence holder shall put in place a drugs policy for the premises. The Premises Licence holder or other nominated person shall then ensure that this drugs policy is complied with at all times when the premises are open to the public.
Disk Jockey
Where a disc jockey is used at the premises, then he/she shall ask customers to leave the premises quietly.
CCTV
Where CCTV equipment is fitted, it shall be maintained in good working order in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and shall be operational at all times when a licensable activity takes place on the premises.
Incidents of crime and disorder
All instances of crime and disorder shall be reported to the police and details shall be kept in an incident log book
PUBLIC SAFETY
Drinking Water
Free drinking water shall be available at all times when the premises is open to the public
PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE
Staff patrols
When entertainment is being offered on the premises, members of staff shall undertake additional patrols of the premises, both internally and externally, to limit any noise pollution
Drivers Shelf - Soft Drinks
Suitable non alcoholic beverages including drinking water, shall be equally available for consumption on the premises with or without food.
Noise
No nuisance shall be caused by music, noise or vibration coming from or transmitted through the structure of the buildings. This includes any external plant or equipment attached to the premises or within the curtilage of the premises.
All doors and windows must be kept closed when any amplified or unamplified must or voices are being played within the premises.
The Premises Licence Holder or their representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause disturbance to local residents. A written record of those assessments and the remedial action taken shall be kept and will include the date, time of the checks and the name of the person carrying out the checks. Details of the remedial action will also be recorded.
When any live music is being played the premises shall be fitted with a noise-limiting device. The activation level of this device must be set and sealed by an officer of the Local Authority.
There shall be placed at all exits of the premises in a place where they can be seen and easily read by the public [or members and their guests] notices requiring customers to leave the premises quickly and quietly. This condition also extends to car parks where car radios and members of the public may cause disturbance to local residents.
No external speakers shall be used outside the building, this will include any beer garden or outside drinking area or car park.
The use of any outside area will cease at 23.00.
Refuse, including bottles, shall not be removed from the building for disposal between the hours of 23.00 and 07.00.
There shall be no emissions from the premises of any offensive smells or odours, which may cause disturbance or nuisance.
The Premises Licence holder must discourage the use of the car park for any activity outside of the licensed hours, this may include the erection of barriers outside licensing hours.
No light from on the premises and any other light under control of the premises shall be provided where that light causes a disturbance to any nearby residents.
PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM
Entertainment
When children are allowed on the premises, any entertainment offered on the premises shall be suitable for young persons
Supervision
Children shall be required to be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times.
Proof of Age Scheme
The Premises Licence holder or their representative shall operate a proof of age scheme to challenge any person who looks under the age of 21 years to prove that they are over 18 years. The only forms of acceptable ID are: Portman prove it cards, passports and the new style driving licence.
